Chronicles of a Crackhead Lady: I'm Going to Die Soon

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV - Today Ashley old roommate, Mandy came by and ask if I had seen her lately. I told her no. She told me quite a bit about my friend.

1. She’s not Belizean. 2. Her husband is not Belizean, he is Haitian. 3. She speaks 5 languages fluently. English and Spanish I knew she spoke. But she also speaks French, German and Tagalog and a little Korean, Japanese and Mandarin. 4. She has a degree in Psychology. Earned it by the time she was 21 which was the age she got married. 5. Ashley told me she had 3 kids. Mandy told me Ashley actually have 4 children. 6. Ashley had a house with her husband and they had 2 cars.

Then 3 years ago all hell broke loose and her life would never be the same again.

Just because you are witnessing someone at their lowest, doesn’t mean that was where they had always been.

I told Mandy the last time I saw Ashley, was when she came knocking on my window at 3am. I told her she couldn’t come in because I would be going to work soon. I told her Ashley said she would leave when I leave. She sat on the floor looked at me and said “I’m going to die soon”. And that was the last time I saw Ashley.
