What God Has For You, Is For You....YES! BUT......

Las Vegas - One of the most misleading statement on social media is the statement that what God has for you is yours and it can not be lost. This statement is half truth, which makes it false. What God has for you is for you, but you can screw it up royally.

The Book of Genesis speaks of the relationship between Jacob and Esau, focusing on Esau's loss of his birthright to Jacob and the conflict that had spawned between their descendant nations because of Jacob's deception of their aged and blind father, Isaac, in order to receive Esau's birthright/blessing from Isaac. Genesis 25:19-34. Esau screwed that up.

Samuel also said to Saul, "The LORD sent me to anoint you king over His people, over Israel. Now therefore, heed the voice of the words of the LORD..." God gave Saul a clear, radical command: destroy the Amalek, kill everything, utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. Kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.

But Saul spared Agag, the king and kept the best of everything, the sheep, the lamb, the ox. And this pissed God off and he sent Samuel to Saul saying, "I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments." God took the crown from Saul, all the promises of God went through the window for this, man. And Saul went crazy.

Same thing happened to David, Saul successor, Solomon, David son and his successor...They all missed out on the full promises of God. In David and Solomon case, they redeemed themselves to a certain degree, but missed out on a lot of what God had for them.

So what God has for you, you can screw it up royally and lose it. God promises comes with conditions.

Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths."

Romans 8:28 "And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose."

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."

Romans 12:2 "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect".

Psalm 32:8 "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you."

1 Corinthians 2:9 But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”
